South Dublin County Public Participation Network supports community and not-for-profit organisations to build skills, confidence and capacity through training and development opportunities.

This section brings together a mix of training, learning materials and signposting. Content may include live training delivered by the PPN, recorded sessions and practical guides, as well as information on training and development opportunities offered by other organisations.

Training and development supports are shared to help groups learn, grow and strengthen their work over time.

Who training is for

Training opportunities are open to member groups of South Dublin County PPN. Groups can choose how and when to take part, based on their interests and capacity.

Some sessions may be particularly relevant for:

  • Committee members or trustees
  • Chairs, secretaries or treasurers
  • New or developing groups
  • Representatives or Linkage Group participants

Suggesting training or development needs

The PPN welcomes feedback from member groups on training and development needs.

Groups are encouraged to suggest topics, identify gaps or express interest in future training, which helps inform planning and prioritisation
