Call for Nominations – PPN Representatives to Strategic Policy Committees

General News

South Dublin County PPN is inviting nominations from our member organisations for PPN Representative positions on South Dublin County Council’s Strategic Policy Committees (SPCs).

Strategic Policy Committees play an important role in the development and review of Council policy. PPN Representatives provide a vital link between the PPN membership and the local decision-making process, bringing the views, experiences and priorities of community, voluntary, social inclusion and environmental organisations to the relevant committees.

Who can be nominated?

Nominees must come from an eligible SDC PPN member organisation and be connected to the relevant Linkage Group.

Current PPN Representatives are also very welcome to put themselves forward for nomination again. Existing representatives will remain in their roles until the election process for their respective seats has been completed.

Why become a PPN Representative?

Becoming a PPN Representative is an opportunity to bring the voice of PPN members into local policy discussions, raise issues affecting communities across South Dublin County and keep Linkage Group members informed about the work of the relevant SPC.

Representatives are not expected to work alone. SDC PPN and the relevant Linkage Group will provide support and opportunities for representatives and members to stay connected throughout the term.
