Dealing with local and county wide issues
The Secretariat is elected by the PPN members at the Plenary and is representative of the three Pillars. It is an administrative body only, and its role is to

Oversee and drive the activity of the PPN. The Secretariat ensures that the PPN is developing and functioning effectively.
Oversee the participation of PPN Representatives on their respective committees and ensure a reporting mechanism is in place to feedback to the wider PPN, including the facilitation of Linkage Groups.
Convene a minimum of two plenary meetings per year.
Be responsible for guiding and developing the PPN Worker’s work plan.
Act as representatives of the PPN. Where the PPN is invited to events and functions, the Secretariat attend as representatives of the PPN.
Lead the development and achievement of a PPN Well-being Statement for South Dublin County.
Convene Pillar meetings, develop Pillar work plans, develop policy and positions on issues of common concern to the Pillar and advocating for these.
Oversee financial accounts of the PPN, including a financial report at every Secretariat meeting and financial reports back to Government Departments.
The role of the Secretariat may evolve from time to time in line with local needs and Government strategy.
