Creative Ireland South Dublin is inviting applications for a range of funding opportunities supporting creativity, culture and the arts across South Dublin County.
From supporting arts projects in schools to developing local filmmaking talent, these opportunities aim to encourage creative expression, build skills and strengthen cultural activity within our communities.
Creative Ireland South Dublin Schools Culture Award 2026
Supporting creativity and arts projects in schools across South Dublin
The Creative Ireland South Dublin Schools Culture Award 2026 is open to primary schools, second-level schools and programmes supporting early school leavers within South Dublin County.
The award aims to support schools in developing creative projects that enrich arts practice and engagement, with funding available across the disciplines of:
- Drama
- Dance
- Visual Arts
Awards will be granted in the region of €500–€2,000, with a maximum award of €2,000.

Creative Ireland South Dublin Film Award 2026
Supporting filmmakers and growing creative talent in South Dublin
Creative Ireland South Dublin is inviting applications from filmmakers living within the South Dublin County Council administrative area for the Film Award 2026.
The award aims to support the development of filmmaking talent, creativity and film activity within South Dublin County.
Strand A – Film Production Award
An award of up to €10,000 is available to a filmmaker or film company towards the production of a short film (drama or documentary) of 12–15 minutes duration, to be filmed within the South Dublin County Council administrative area.
Applicants must have:
- A developed script
- Script input from a Director and Producer
- Confirmation of legal access to the script
- Membership of the SCENe network – South Dublin Creative Economy Network
Applications should include:
- Completed application form
- Project synopsis (maximum 500 words)
- Full script
- Project plan and production requirements
- Director and Producer insights on the script
- Links to previous work (where available)
- Detailed budget
- Relevant supporting information
Applications will be assessed on criteria including creativity, originality, audience potential, previous filmmaking experience, project feasibility, contribution to filmmaking in South Dublin, and opportunities for local community engagement.
Strand B – Emerging Filmmaker Opportunity
Creative Ireland South Dublin is also inviting applications from emerging filmmakers who are currently developing a script.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to take part in a film industry mentoring day covering:
- Application writing
- Scriptwriting
- Networking opportunities
